About Us

Established in honor of the Rev. Ansel A. McDonald, the Scholarship Fund was created with the vision of supporting youth who are not only ambitious but also in need of financial assistance. We are driven by the belief that with the right opportunities, every young person can rise to greatness and make a meaningful impact on their community.

Our purpose is twofold:
-
To raise funds that enable students to pursue their dreams of tertiary education.
-
To identify and support individuals with a passion for learning and a desire to excel in their chosen field.

We are committed to building a sustainable scholarship program that not only serves students today but will continue to uplift future generations. With a focus on the Jamaica Baptist Union, we seek to support students throughout their entire educational journey, from the moment they are awarded the scholarship until they graduate, ensuring they have the resources, mentorship, and encouragement they need to succeed.

Mission
Our mission is to provide comprehensive support to financially challenged students within the Jamaica Baptist Union. We will endeavor to ensure monitoring and sustained support throughout their entire college journey. Our commitment is to a fair, transparent, and effective scholarship selection process by carefully evaluating all applications to ensure that the neediest and most deserving students benefit.
Vision
Our vision is to support youth with strong ambitions in need of financial support. We aim to inspire greatness in them, ultimately contributing to the overall improvement of lives and the cultivation of a brighter, more fulfilling future.

Purpose Statement
We are dedicated to making a meaningful impact on both present and future generations by fostering education and empowering those who face financial challenges or lack access to educational resources. Our purpose is twofold: to raise funds for and identify individuals with a genuine passion for their field of study, providing them with the support needed to pursue tertiary education. Simultaneously, we are committed to charting a strategic course for the establishment of a lasting scholarship program, ensuring that it continues to benefit students for years to come.
